Pastel & Pearls

Sheer pastel blouse w/ pearl collar by Miso

As you may know i am a contributing writer to the amazing blog Scarlett London ran by none other than Scarlett herself. I was amazed at the fact her blog had only been going a year yet she had accumulated thousands of followers and some famous faces who were admirers of her work. I'm really grateful to be working with her as well as the other contributing writers too. One of the perks of being a blogger is that i get to go to some amazing events and press days to check out new products that are heading your way on the market.
If you follow Scarlett's blog you'll notice the post i recently wrote on the Nice Nails Baby event ran by the lovely Sassi PR team. I had a great time and scoffed my way through the cupcakes and cocktails which cooled me down in the soaring temperatures; whilst been updated by friends and family back home that they were having freak flooding.
The event was great overall and i loved my nails which are surprisingly still intact even after my hectic schedule.

Pastel Nails with glitter and pearls

I love the booming trend of nail art and the creative things you can do with any type of nail whether it be long, short or false and how the trends off the catwalks reflect straight onto the shades of polish.  It can be inspiration from a fashion designer's latest collection or the elements of an accessory such as a shoe drowned in pearls an diamonds that can create the latest season's nail shades.

Essie in the Spring launched their new shades, all of which pastel inspired from the Spring/summer collections seen on the catwalks.

So matter how subtle the nail art is, it will always relate to something seen in a film, magazine, collection or a dream.
Happy Nail painting
